We are delighted to be hosting The PDE Wedding fayre at Bluewater on Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th October, which has been given approval and will be going ahead after consultation with Bluewater and following the latest government guidelines.

We have been working hard to ensure we provide a safe environment for everyone attending, by ensuring you can keep distanced with the introduction of more spacious aisles and one-way systems, with enhanced hygiene cleaning regimes and sanitising facilities. A time slot will need to be chosen at the time of booking in order to keep within the recommended capacity for the venue.

We are confident that exhibitors and visitors will enjoy a safe, secure and enjoyable time at the Bluewater  wedding fayre. And we are delighted that we can go ahead with presenting a unique and valuable opportunity to meet with quality suppliers as you resume your wedding planning.

These are the procedures we have put in place for your own safety and comfort.

Risk assessment: This key document will be written in partnership between Bluewater and PDE wedding fayres to determine the measures that need to be put in place for the event. This will include planning, set-up, queue management, venue access, and use of technology to minimise touch points. Floorplans will ensure adequate aisle and stand space for social distancing based on the latest government guidance.

Face Coverings: Visitors must wear a face mask or suitable face covering at all times. This will be strictly enforced and those not complying will be asked to leave the venue or offered to purchase a face mask from the registration desk. Anyone with a high temperature or other symptoms related to COVID-19 must refrain from visiting. Exemptions: Should you have a valid reason for not being able to wear a mask you will be required to wear a lanyard showing your exemption.

Visitor pre booking: To minimise queuing and contact during registration, visitors will be required to pre-register at which point you may choose an arrival time; this enables us to restrict the capacity within the venue to safe numbers. Staff will click people in and out of the arena so we know how many are inside at any one time. Those who have not pre-booked will be required to wait outside and pre-register, they will be able to enter when capacity allows. Those arriving earlier than their time slot will be asked to come back at their allotted time. Those arriving late will need to join the socially distanced queue for non-ticket holders. There is no limit to the time you can stay at the event as booking capacity allows for this. Confirmation of your pre-registration and time slot will be emailed to you.

Social Distancing: This will be managed in line with government advice during set-up, the open times of the event and breakdown. A one way system will be operational throughout the venue to help everyone keep a safe distance. Limited numbers on site and staggered entry facilitates this aspect.

Arrival & registration: An experienced team of car park marshals will manage visitor arrivals safely, taking into account the latest government guidance.

Meeting exhibitors: Each exhibitor stand will have a zone marked in tape in front of their space. Only one couple are permitted to occupy this space at any one time. We ask you wait in the aisle and only approach the zone when it has been vacated. There is no limit to the time spent with each exhibitor.

Touch free: Please refrain from touching fabrics and any displays that the exhibitors would be unable to immediately clean with anti-bac or suitable cleaning solution.

Venue facilities & Catering: Signage displaying key messages, in line with the latest government guidance, will be in place throughout the venue. Bluewater will provide medical support in the event of someone feeling unwell. Refreshments and catering will only be available from inside the main shopping centre.

Cleaning Standards: The venue is deep cleaned prior to our use, and during the event venue staff will be sanitising all areas on a regular basis.

Personal Hygiene: Hand sanitisers will be provided throughout the public areas of the venue. There is an expectation that all organisers and exhibitors will provide their own sanitiser for the stands. Reminder to regularly wash hands will be in place throughout the venue.

Supporting Track and Trace: As a ticketed event with registration facilities in place, our audience is known to us meaning that contact tracing is usually possible if needed.

FAQs

PROMOTIONAL LEAFLETS

  • Goody bags will be available for you to take yourselves at the registration point; leaflets will be placed at the front of each exhibitor display so they can be taken with no handover.

WILL VISITORS NEED TO WEAR MASKS/VISORS?

  • We will require visitors to wear masks at all times and this will be strictly enforced by our team and by the venue’s team. Face masks will be available for purchase on entry if required.

SYMPTOMATIC?

  • If you have a cough, high temperature or other covid symptoms, you must not attend. Similarly, we will display notices for visitors instructing that they should not enter the building if they have any of these symptoms or have been in contact with someone with symptoms within the previous 14 days.

EVENT CAPACITY

  • This will be a ticketed event with visitors choosing a time slot at the time of booking. Staff will click people in and out of the marquee so we know how many are inside at any one time. Those who have not pre-booked may be required to wait outside until capacity allows.

SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES?

  • Each exhibitor stand will have a zoned area marked out in tape for one couple to meet with suppliers – visitors must wait in the aisle and can only approach this zone when it has been vacated. Exhibitors will remain behind their display table to create a comfortable barrier for distancing during your consultation.
  • A one-way system will be in place throughout to allow a smooth flow of people.

WHAT IS THE CAPACITY YOU WILL ALLOW?

  • This will be a ticketed event with visitors choosing a timeslot at the time of booking. Staff will click people in and out of the marquee so we know how many are inside at any one time. Those who have not pre-booked will be required to register outside on their own devices and wait until a slot is available to enter.

WHAT SANITISING PROCEDURES ARE IN PLACE?

  • Visitors will have sanitisers available on arrival and many exhibitors will have sanitiser on their table to allow visitors a dose before using an ipad or opening albums, we recommend you also bring your own for continued sanitisation throughout your visit.
  • Exhibitors will use anti-bac wipes for cleaning ipads and albums after each use by clients. Also for wiping props if touched by visitors (although this practise is being discouraged)

SNACKS & REFRESHMENTS

  • All snacks & refreshments are available in Bluewater with the various amounts of shops and restaurants.

TOILET FACILITIES
